Useful Baby Activities and Shopping Links

Over the years, as a mother and photographer, I’ve come across baby-minded companies which just make sense. I’ve either had first-hand experience, or heard from another mum how great they are. I want to share them with you, on the chance they may help you too, but please remember these are just suggestions :).

Baby Activities

Story-time at your local libraryMost libraries run a free weekly story-time session. They read storybooks, sing songs, and provide a craft activity at the end. It took awhile to break into the mother’s group circles lol, but I’m blessed to have met some lifelong friends who share my interests and parenting style.
Baby Harmony – baby massageHelp your baby sleep, bond & develop by learning baby massage. A nationally accredited certified Infant massage instructor. We met Krys 4 years ago when she taught us the First Touch Program. It helped greatly with our daughters belly pains, and gave us the confidence to bond with our baby though massage.www.babyharmony.com.au

Baby Shops

Aromababy – organic skincareNatural and certified organic skincare specifically for babies. I only wanted to use natural-based skincare products on my baby. I especially loved their barrier balm for her nappy rash and cradle capwww.aromababy.com
Tetra – organic beddingNatural baby bedding, including mattresses and pillows. These are filled with 100% natural and chemical-free Tea Tree Flakes.
I did a lot of research before having my first baby. Organic was important to me, and I was really happy with the price and quality of the mattress we bought. It was firm, and easy to keep smooth.

Glenhuntly Baby Carriages.I walked into this shop recently, browsing for baby #2, and immediately wished I didn’t have most things saved from baby #1! A treasure trove of all things baby.
Their website says they offer customers the widest range of quality baby products from around the world, at sensible down to earth prices. I completely agree, and found it so refreshing to walk into a baby shop which seemed so much more personal than a big chain shop.
